William Jasper (Jack) Maddox, 67, of Lakeland Drive, Jackson Mississippi, passed away Monday (October 23, 2017) at home in Jackson.

He was born December 9, 1949 in Cleveland, Tennessee, the son of the late Rev. Eugene Maddox and Dolly Pinner Maddox of Lake City, Fla.

He was an owner operator of a trucking Company in Little Valley, NY for many years. He loved being on the road, eating really good food and debating topics with anyone who would listen. He loved fast cars, semi-trucks, and was always looking to have a fun time.

He is survived by his mother Dolly, his wife, Michele Burns Maddox of Jackson, a son; William Brooks (Robin) Maddox of Deerfield Beach, Fla., three daughters; Jacquellynne Dawnette (Danny) Weikle of Moroa, IL, Naomi A. (Timothy) Gennings of Randolph, Christina (Ryan) Maddox of Jamestown, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He is additionally survived by a sister; Mary Jean (Dennis) Taylor of Pascagoula, MS, and four brothers; Samuel (Sheila) Maddox of Blytheville, Ark., Drexel (Karen) Maddox of Wilson, NC., Phillip (Kitty) Maddox of Lake City, Fla. And Claude (Cathy) Maddox of Council Bluff, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his father Eugene on June 21, 2013, his first wife Kathy Hilliman Maddox on November 20, 2002, a son Shawn E. Maddox on March 2, 2016 and a step- son, Cpl. John W. Booth on December 26, 2015.

Visitation will not be observed. A small private Celebration of life is being planned for the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, Randolph.
