Obituary for Monica J. Sage

East Randolph-

Monica J. Sage, 65, of Church Street, East Randolph, formerly of Bath, NY and Ellicottville, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center in Gerry, surrounded by her loving family.

Monica was born July 5, 1952 in Munich, Germany, the Daughter of the late Lester C. Andrews and Lois (Rooks) Andrews of Allegany, NY.

She was a 1970 graduate of Ellicottville Central School and Bryant & Stratton Business Institute in Buffalo. At the time of her illness Monica was the Director of Human Resources for Bush Industries for 27 years.

Monica was a former trustee for the Conewango Town Board, served on the Board of Directors for the WNY chapter of the American Red Cross and was a past member of the Great Valley Baptist Church and Randolph Quilting Club. Her interests included, cooking, gardening, quilting and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother; Lois of Allegany, her husband, Ernest James Sage, whom she married on February 19, 1983, Three Children; Christopher Sage and Wife Barbara, Breanne Sage Hale and husband Dustin all of Randolph and Cody Sage and Fiancée Kelsey Hayden of Louisville KY.

She is additionally survived by her six grandchildren, Tyler Sage, Piper Chase-Hale, Peyton Hale, Alyssa Boncev-Sage, Christian Boncev-Sage, Lukas Hale and a two brothers Jerry and Barry Andrews of Great Valley.

She was preceded in death by her father Lester C. Andrews, step father James Fish.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 1-3 PM Saturday (February 17, 2018) in the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph. Funeral services will follow the visitation. The Rev. Thomas Broad, Rector of Grace Episcopal Church in Randolph will officiate.
