Obituary for Mary Lou Cooper

Napoli, NY-

Mary Lou Cooper, 80, of Mace Road, Town of Napoli, passed away Thursday (November 2, 2017) at home after an extended illness.

She was born April 9, 1937 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Robert and Alberta Babcock Caswell Sr.

Mary Lou was a 1955 graduate of Randolph Central School. She retired in 1998 from Truck Lite in Falconer after 17 years of service. In earlier years she had worked for the former Aolean Piano plate factory in Randolph, The Late Harold Knowles Congdon Law Office in Randolph and at R & M Restaurant.

She had attended the Steamburg Free Church and enjoyed horse farming, raising animals, and bowling and bingo.

She is survived by her husband and caregiver, Allan “Sonny” Cooper, whom she married on August 9, 1985 in Randolph, s son; Steven Sample of Mayville, three daughters; Jeri Lawrence of Jacksonville, Fla., Donette Bacon of Tallahassee, Fla. and Hilary Fedolfi of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Shawn and Kara Sample, Matthew and Nathan Snow and
Amber and Aaron Fedolfi, as well as three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Michael E. Sample and a bother, Robert N. Caswell Jr.

As per May Lou’s request, services will not be observed. Arrangements are entrusted to the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, Randolph.
