Obituary for Mae Ann Kennison

Cattaraugus-

Mae A. Frentz Kennison, 83, of Chautauqua Road, Cattaraugus, Town of New Albion, passed away Monday (May 21, 2018) at home with her family by her side, while under the care of Hospice.

She was born May 18, 1935 in New Albion, the daughter of late Claude and Florence (Kilby) Frentz.

Mae attended Cattaraugus High School. In addition to being a home maker, Mae had worked for the former Valley Discount Store in Little Valley and the former Winship Ceramics in Cattaraugus. She enjoyed making ceramics, doing plastic needle point and collecting salt and pepper shakers.

She is survived her husband of 65 years, Eugene R. Kennison, whom she married on September 6, 1952, two daughters; Joyce Ann (Jerry) Morrison of Cattaraugus and Barbara Jean (Clarence) Thompson of Allegany, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Lester Frentz, twins; Lawrence Frentz and Florence Locke, Montie Frentz, twins; Leo Frentz and Theo Arnold, Joyce Frentz and Leola Frentz.

As per Mae’s wishes, there will be no visitation of funeral services observed. The VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, Randolph have been entrusted with her care.
